the longest blog post ever!!

Well here is a crazy catch up on things that happened while we were in VirginiaBeach that I'm just now getting around to blogging about! I promise my next blog posts will be more up to date! These are a litte backwards, sorry!

Here John and Austin lounge proudly in front of our massive moving truck. John officially considers himself a trucker.... Thank you soooo much, Austin, for going down to SC with John!
Here is my wonderful hubby at graduation. I'm so proud of him!
Taking some photos afterwards...of course all of us girls had to shed some tears...
This is one of my Bible study groups that met together regularly for the full three years.
Here we all are proudly standing with our graduates.
The men...
Brody at graduation was way cute... I don't think he can help it though.
Brody tried to give his daddy some pointers on how to walk across the stage before-hand.
This is at the commissioning ceremony. It was really such a blessing to be able to praise God with our friends and family for the work that HE has done in our lives.
On Friday night before graduation there was a dinner for the third year law students. It was such a fun atmosphere. There were high-school students standing all throughout the room playing stringed instruments. They had a faculty roast that was hilarious too. It was fun.

John and I had a farewell party with some of our friends. It was beautiful and great to be able to have a final shin-dig with everybody.

A final good-bye picture with our neighbors.
The group from New Covenant Church. Soooo much fun. We will totally miss you guys.
Here is a shot of Eve Monnette. I was finally able to see her with her eyes open just before we left. Isn't she sweet?

And then.... just like that-we were home in SC! whoa.

Thank you to all who prayed and are still praying for us. God is sooo gracious. Please lift up John and all the other graduates as they prepare for the bar exam.
Of course, you are all welcome to come visit!

SO MUCH GOING ONNNNN!!!

So, John is totally done with law school. Holy moly. Today was our last Sunday at New Covenant Pres. There are a lot of people there that we will sorely miss! This was not the only good-bye we've gone through lately. Here are some of them (and some other things that have been happening)...
Brody has been eating up any possible moment with the Garner boys. He goes CRAZY when he sees either of them outside and so I am trying to give him as much play time with them as possible.

I did have to say goodbye to my sweet friend, Hope. She and her husband had just finished their first year at Regent Law and so were off to his summer intership before graduation. We'll miss you, Eiferts!! :)

Here is the last painting that I completed in Virginia. It is for one of my closest friends here, Kari McDonnell.

Kari, a local artist named Sarah Hanson and I have an art group together about once a month. We shared our artwork for our last meeting this past week. If you would like to see more of Sarah's artwork feel free to visit http://sarahpaints.com/index.html. Kari and I don't have websites ... yet! :)

It was hard to say good-bye to that part of life, but hopefully I'll find some other artsy friends in Columbia to carry on the tradition with!

Congratulations are in order for the Monnettes who had their beautiful daughter, Eve Margariette (I hope I spelled that right!) last Monday. She is so sweet. It will be hard to say goodbye to the Monnettes, but fortunately we have a little bit more time with them.

Isn't she sooo sweet??

Another sad farewell was made in the form of a baseball game. Our neighbors from the townhouse, Nick and Brenda were such good friends that we've wanted to go by and have a last dinner or something for a while. Fortunately, Nick had a baseball game we were able to go watch. Brody had a BLAST. He went through all the fans on the bleachers and was literally forcing them to give him high fives. It was awesome. I suppose someone had to take on the role of mascot.
Here is Brody getting some love from Brenda at the game.

And then there was this guy. John and I were watching TV in our bedroom the other night and low and behold a muppet shadow came to life in the corner of our room. Do you see the old man??
Well, there are tons of things to take care of, but God has been faithful to bless us with opportunities to take care of it all. Thank you for your prayers. Please keep 'em coming while we make the move in 1 week from today!
