Happenings...

Well-the Tyler family has good news and bad news and they are both the same. Brody is getting a tooth! There is this cute little tooth bud poking up from his bottom gums which though it sounds very exciting (and of course it is...), Brody is NOT happy about this new and improved gum upgrade. Brody boy is having a really hard time sleeping through the night and John is having a great time trying to study with little sleep and a crabby baby.... but fortunately the tooth is almost out of there and so we hope relief is coming soon! Let's hope no other teeth are trying to get out until finals are over!!
We've been trying to prepare Brody for being in South Carolina. So, we've been decking him out in golf shorts, SC sandals and of course an USC shirt! We'll be home soon!

Brody enjoys his new back-pack so much that sometimes we just leave him in there for a couple of hours. Just kidding, but he really does like it.
Well-this picture is really for me to show off my new, fun hair-cut. Just thought I'd be honest.

So-Brody now has enough hair to have a bona-fied Mohawk. So, since that is the only hair style he can have right now, we've been dishing it out. It seems to fit his personality pretty well. Let's face it-we don't want him to be too self conscious about his baby rolls and rolls and rolls, so we thought we might as well make him look like a mean mamma jamma.
We told Brody to look like Churchill in this picture. He is amazingly talented, isn't he?

We love you all! Just think-soon Brody won't need a chair to help him stand up!

A few things been going on lately...

John and I are so excited to be coming home for the summer. Brody is going to love being around everyone and we will too! John starts finals on Monday and is finished the following Monday and then the following Monday after that he starts his job! So, we've got lots of packing and cleaning and preparation to do before-hand. Please keep us in your prayers. Brody tried rice cereal for the first time and he does not seem to like it very much. This little snippet shows it somewhat, but he won't even open his mouth for it anymore!! I hope you enjoy watching a couple of clips all jumbled into one. Here goes:

Such is life with a baby....

Brody is getting really close to sitting up all by himself. He needs just a little help, but soon enough he will be totally able to do this on his own and we are all very excited for him!

Brody and his father are out testing the new back-pack that we got. So far, Brody thoroughly approves and not only enjoys being carried around and able to see the world from this new perspective, but also enjoying a little chew here and there on the two humps that separate him from his dad.

I am pretty sure that Brody already believes he can stand on his own. He sometimes looks at me while he holds onto a table or chair as if to say, "Hey-what are you doing there? I don't need you to make sure I don't fall over or anything..."

Brody and I enjoyed fabulous company with Cheryl Shomo and her little man, Cullen. Cullen happily hosted some tummy time with Brody and the two enjoyed sticking out their tongues, rolling over and squeeling. It was adorable.

WARNING: The following movie has been rated PG-13 due to some brief nudity-parental guidance adviced.

*let me also add on a side note, that this is only the end of the clean-up. I had been in the danger zone cleaning up toxic waste for at least 5 minutes before my co-worker captured this video.
